What to do in St. Thomas?

St. Thomas offers a variety of activities for families with kids. Here are some of the best things to do:
  1. Magens Bay Beach: This beautiful beach is perfect for families, with its calm waters and soft sand. Kids can swim, snorkel, build sandcastles, or simply relax under the sun.
  2. Coral World Ocean Park: This marine park offers interactive exhibits where kids can learn about marine life through touch pools, aquariums, and underwater observatories. They can even swim with sea lions or encounter sharks in a safe environment.
  3. Paradise Point Skyride: Take a scenic tram ride to Paradise Point, which offers breathtaking views of Charlotte Amalie and the surrounding islands. There's a small playground and souvenir shops at the top, making it a fun excursion for the whole family.
  4. St. Thomas Skyride to the Mountain Top: Another scenic ride, this one takes you to Mountain Top, the highest point on St. Thomas. Enjoy panoramic views, grab a famous banana daiquiri, and shop for souvenirs.
  5. Tree Limin' Extreme Zipline Park: If your kids are thrill-seekers, they'll love ziplining through the lush rainforest canopy. This adventure park offers zipline courses suitable for various ages and skill levels.
  6. Blackbeard's Castle: Explore this historic site, which includes a 17th-century watchtower and pirate-themed attractions. Kids will enjoy pretending to be pirates as they climb the steps and explore the grounds.
  7. Kayaking and Snorkeling Tours: Many tour operators offer family-friendly kayaking and snorkeling excursions around St. Thomas and nearby islands. It's a great way to explore the coastline, spot marine life, and enjoy some outdoor adventure together.
  8. Water Sports: From paddleboarding to jet skiing, there are plenty of water sports activities available for families to enjoy together. Rental shops and tour operators can provide equipment and guidance for safe and enjoyable experiences.
  9. Island Hopping: Consider taking a ferry or boat tour to explore nearby islands such as St. John or the British Virgin Islands. Each island has its own unique attractions and natural beauty to discover.
  10. Local Cultural Experiences: Don't miss the opportunity to immerse your family in the local culture of St. Thomas. Visit historic sites, sample Caribbean cuisine, and attend cultural events or festivals to learn more about the island's heritage.
We have done Magens beach with our kids. It was great and the water was beautiful. My kids as they got older and snorkeled loved Coki Beach which is right next to Coral World Ocean Park.
